Brasero cooking
A live fire experience for your events
A new culinary experience in the Gers
A recent addition in the Gers, brasero cooking brings warmth, flavour and spectacle to corporate and private events alike.
More than just a meal, it is a culinary performance, delighting your guests’ taste buds while naturally drawing them together.
What is a brasero ?
The brasero is a circular, wood-fired cooking unit, continuously fuelled by an open flame at its centre.
Food is cooked directly on the surrounding steel plate, while a grill above the embers allows for slow cooking, simmering and skewers
Originally used as a domestic heat source in Roman times, the brasero has made a strong comeback as a modern outdoor cooking experience, increasingly popular at open-air events.
The warmth of the fire, combined with the chef working live at its centre, naturally encourages gathering, conversation and sharing.
Guests can move freely around the brasero, watch the dishes being prepared and enjoy a moment that is both playful and captivating.
With its elegant design — revisited by the young Dutch company OFYR — and its ease of use, the brasero adapts perfectly to all types of outdoor professional events.
What kind of food can be cooked on a brasero ?
From starter to dessert — almost anything is possible with brasero cooking.
In addition to its delicious smoky flavour, this cooking method is healthy, controlled and highly versatile.
- A large, modular cooking surface allows several dishes to be prepared simultaneously
- The grill above the embers is ideal for slow-cooked sauces, skewers and roasting
- Fresh, local and seasonal produce, sourced from trusted regional partners
At Le Fou Gascon, ingredients are selected for their quality and respect for natural seasonal cycles.
